vargas, imo, is too experienced for a guy like mayorga to beat him...Even if he manages to get caught, he'll get up and handle mayorga. Curious to what the forum thinks about this upcoming bout.

vargas has mayorga beat in boxing class but his chin is so suspect it's tough to call it accurately.
mayorga has a better chin but he's nowhere near the same class of fighter as vargas.
unless vargas gets caught with a big punch i think he'll wear mayorga out and maybe stop him late in the fight.
when the fight was first announced i immediately thought that mayorga would knock vargas out, but now the closer the fight is coming and seeing how vargas looked in that last interview on showtime, i think he's coming prepared, at least more prepared than mayorga. mayorga looked fatter than vargas in that interview and he's trying to play it too tough, ripping down the ciggy's, how lame.
honestly i think mayorga would be out of boxing right now if he hadn't signed an big ass contract with don king, now i think king is squeezing all the juice left from that deal. i think it was an 8 fight deal or some ****. who knows but i don't think he has the fight in him anymore, just trash talk. mayorga might be tough for a round or two but after that it's survival mode.Comment
