Will Chavez Jr. be a better fighter than his father?

I guess there's always the question of 'How tough could he really be', because of him growing up amongst his father's accumulated wealth from his boxing. He appears to be a kid with a silver spoon in his mouth to anyone who knows of him.

Everyone always slings the hate towards Chavez Jr. because he's being brought along slowly. The guy has some good skills though, if you'll notice he turns his head with the punch almost every time he gets connected on...and his left hook to the body is very powerful and sharp, along with his slip and counter ability. His guard is very solid, he turns over his punches well and brings them back very well, also. He is technically sound, with power. As a kid who grew up with a dad like Chavez for a boxer, you know he was hitting punching bags at age 4. That's why he has such a sick left hook downstairs. That is a very effective punch, he is very accurate with it even when he throws it as hard as he can..

I'm not going to say that he could be better than his dad if he stays true to the game, but so far, he appears to be pretty nice with his hands.

That's how Mexicans are, though...Rare to find a competely technical pure boxing mexican, especially one who comes from a fighting family with a dad who is the epitome of pressure fighter.

He does need to refine his jab though, versatility is key .

True and I understand that. But someone as tall as him going for the body WHILEING FIGHTING IN THE INSIDE is gonna take to many shots to the head. It hasnt happen yet because he hasn't fought anyone good. But I am a JCC JR fan and hope he becomes a great fighter. He is truly entertaining to watch.

                  No...

He'll be a very good fighter , and probably a champion, but his father is one of the greats in boxing history. I don't see it.

at the rate and caliber of opponents that they have him fighting he will have the best record ever in the sport of boxing if he keeps it up. (talk about a protected fighter)

the guy he had a draw with(carlos molina) in their rematch jr. clearly lost, flat out lost that fight and they gave him a majority decision, what a joke, the whole place booed and it was a pro chavez crowd................they keep that **** up with the softies jr is going to be 300-0 by the time he's done.......c'mon!seriously........
