    Rudy Perez(barrera,Vazquez trainer)

The guy deserves the credit. He is a hell of a trainer and underrated. But people know who he is now....

Steve Kim wrote on a boxing board...."But here's the thing, you're not trying to change or completely overhaul a boxer. The goal is to tweak and adjust the attributes they have, so they can execute their natural style better. Which is what took place with these two.

Vasquez, didn't turn into a fighter that was suddenly that much more elusive or any harder a puncher. But, he did have his hands a bit higher, he came forward with the jab more, he used angles on the inside to work over Marquez on both sides of the body, smothering Marquez and his left hook was more compact- all things I saw them work on in South El Monte"

And lets not forget the gameplan he came up with when Barrera fought Hamed.....He fooled everyone! "That gameplan Perez put in for Barrera for the Hamed fight was Bill Walsh-esque. All they worked on in Big Bear was moving to their left and countering the Prince. And it worked to perfection.

Its about time this guy gets his due credit"--Steve Kim

    War Rudy Perez!!!

so Freddie Roach is not training Vazquez? That i was asking for quit while.

It better like that because in the Wild Card Gym it too crowded and you cant get the attention and optiumal comment on you moves or statagy.

it just a prvialge to train the same gym as Barrerra because Barrera is a smart fighter with class and style. He style could be easily changed so it good for sparring with him. It's like sparring with many sparring partner in one fighter

because barrera is my favourite boxer of all time, i knew about rudy perez long ago, it was like he was only barreras trainer which is why not too many people knew about him, he is now training other boxers which is why people are starting to take notice. i remember after the Hamed fight, barrera particularly singled out and praised rudy perez and said that he is a very underated trainer. with barrera retiring this year, we could see Rudy perez train a lot more other fighters.
