    Boxing referees

what's up with the old referees that use to ref the fights. Like Vic Drakulich, Kenny Bayless, Tony Weeks, Eddie Cotton, Jay Nady. These new referees are killin the sport. Like in the Caballero/Lacierva fight, the ****ing referee wasn't seperating or warning them not to hold and hit. And then, the ref from the Marquez/vasquez fight stop the fight early. It seems like for the past month I havent seen a veteran ref in the ring for a main event.

Vic Drakulich, Kenny Bayless, Tony Weeks, Jay Nady are all Vegas Refs, they only do fights in Vegas unless they are assigned to do a championship fight somewhere else.

Steve Smoger is the best referee IMO. He lets fights go on until the issue is completely settled. AND, hes a great referee on top of that

I'm not supporting or going against these referees you list but infighting maybe a little holding has always been part of boxing, if anything now adays there's much less of it than in the past. If your not working on the inside though then it shoudn't really be tolerated, especially if your doing it often.

Yeah, I really wish they let the fight go on so we can have all the marquez cry baby fans stop crying and actually thinking that their boyfriend was actually going to win last night. But then we would have cry baby Marquez fans cry when Marquez dies in the ring complaining that it should have been stop earlier.

Both said refs had very shady calls in one of their recent fights...shocking, as I liked them both.

                Bayless is a good ref.

Mills Lane was one of the best ever. I read where he had a stroke or something of that sort a couple of years ago. Does anybody know how he is doing now?
