I think the HBO crew kind of adds to the excitement, but as far as not being bias, and telling you whats going on in the fight Showtime is better.

Lamps is made for calling fights like the one we saw last night.

I agree with DiegoFuego on this one, Lampley would have been riding one of the fighter's nuts all night long, probably Marquez's and would have been crying about the stoppage worse than Gary Shaw. I've actually seen so many good fights on showtime (Corrales-Castillo 1&2, Vazquez-Marquez 1&2, Brewster-Lyakh, Corrales-Freitas, Mormeck-Bell etc.) that I do associate them with very good, quality fights and they have very good production. I'd take showtime in most cases.

I'd like a crew of Jim Lampley (HBO CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING), Al Bernstein (SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING), and Steve Farhood (SHOBOX) if I could choose my announcers. With Larry Merchant (HBO CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING) doing postfight interviews and checking in periodically during the fight like James Toney does on FSN...
