    old question about old fight

who do you think won the rematch between Oscar De La Hoya and Shane Mosely? I have watched this fight about 7 times and every time that i actually kept score (because after that decision i almost called warner cable to demand a refund. i am not a big fan of oscar, but cmon.), i had Oscar winning by at least 3 points. I know Mosely landed the harder shots, but that doesnt mean he wasnt getting thoroughly outboxed. speaking of which, can anyone hook it up with the compubox stats to this fight? i know, you all probably argued with each other about this already, sorry. im still new

I thought DLH won pretty easily. Look at the expresion on Mosley's face after the fight he knew he didn't win

    I had it 116-112

basically, he looked completely shocked. that is when i no longer respected Sugar Substitute Shane, after that, he went around like "i beat him again, and what?" **** that. he tried to act like he knew he won.

Honestly I think most people were in agreement, Oscar won. I never really scoored the fight but Oscar boxed circiles around Shane most of the night. I have been shocked by a lot by bad scoring decisons in big fights over the years, but Mosley-DeLaHoya II is right up there in my book.

I thought Shane won a very very close fight. IMO shane landed the harder shots in the fight.

i'm not an Oscar fan (or a mosley fan either) but he should have got the decision in dlh mosley 2, just like Pernell Whitaker should have won his fight with dlh.

First time I watched the fight it was in the middle of a big party, so I really didn't keep score. I thought Oscar had won it pretty handily.

But when I watched and kept score the second time around, I had Oscar only winning by a 115-113 margin. Shane was definitely landing the harder, more effective shots late in the fight, but it wasn't enough to justify that decision.

I scored the fight for Oscar by a comfortable margin and so did a few other people who i watched the fight with too. Oscar simply out worked him. Mosley did hurt Oscar i think it was in the 6th or something but he was consistant enough to win alot of the rounds in my opinion. Oscar performed well that night and he got cheated out of the titles. Mosley looked so dejected at the end of that fight, even he knew he had lost.

good thing we score fights by the 10 point must sytem then.

you do get score's for defence and ring generalship too you know .
sweetpea either won that fight by a point, lost it by a point
                    or drew the fight.

no way it was that far ahead for dlh. sweet pea had him compleatly frustrated with his footwork and upperbody movement. he almost comletely nutralised dlh offence.

the only problem was pernell was not connecting with much but the jab.

you know, pernell aged backwords. who ever heard of a fighter losing his punch before his legs?
