David Diaz is not a champion

more like an amateur. erik the great (my nickname for him lol) landed the cleaner punches all night and made diaz look like an amateur. i didnt see any clean diaz punches land that werent followed up by perfectly timed and placed morales shots that were harder and more effective.
he did put pressure on, but unlike successful pressure fighters such as hatotn and cotto, he didnt throw or land any good punches. just kinda stood infront of morales and cornered him and ate perfectly placed and timed shots from erik.
sort of looked like a father teaching his bigger younger more athletic son a thing or two about how to fight

The gold around Diaz's waist would likely disagree with you. No doubt Morales is a living legend and one of Mexico's best with a track record of wars or crowd pleasing fights though. It was time for Morales to retire. I'll wait until I watch the fight until I can say clearly who won.

the problem is that he fought real hard to become a champion even though he doesnt have the skill but he is still a champion and should be respected for it. he is the weakest link of the lighweight champions

Exactly. I don't think any rightminded individual could argue taht Diaz is a serious threat to anybody in his division right now, but he did pay his dues and he is a current champion, like him or not. I think this is a clear case of fight fans hating on another fighter who beat (regardless of your own opinion, the record will always show Diaz beat Morales) an aging favorite. Don't hate Diaz because he pulled out a W over Morales, you'd have done the same if you were in his shoes.

David Diaz is a paper belt champion, that's all. He won the Interim WBC Title against Jose Armando Santa Cruz.

Juan Diaz would likely kill him. Which oddly enough is exactly what Morales fans want to see.

actully Diaz is older than Morales by one year but i know you meant boxing wise and wars.

and for David Diaz to fight Jaun it could be tough and i dont think the fight is going to happen they got the same trainer and they sparred together alot so they know each other pretty well. I think Ronnie Shield trains them both
