Chad Dawson's Vulnerabilities

Chad Dawson is an excellent, wonderfully talented fighter. But I feel he has a lapse in confidence at times. In all of his post-fight interviews, he says he's willing to take on anyone at "light-heavyweight and super-middleweight."

I don't think he feels confident at 175. He started his career at 160 and I feel Adrian Diacanou is going to be a very difficult assignment. Even against Jesus Ruiz, he was buzzed a couple of times. I think this fight will make or break Chad Dawson.

He does seem to lose focus, I dont how he could with a guy that could stay on him and make it a fight where he can't stay and do what he wants from the outside, also his chin is vulnerable.

his chin might be vulnerable which could cause him some trouble in the future. other than that from what i have seen not 2 much

you making chin is the only thing that makes you win but actully it not.

remeber Corrales he got a okay chin people thing he got weak chin because of the Mayweather fight

But Dawson hasn't faced elite fighters as yet, his chin ain't that bad, but it's not great.

Thats about the only weakness I sense in him, and thats why I would have given Tarver a punchers chance. Im not 100% sold on his chin as of now, but his skills are tremendous. Him and Floyd Sr. seem like a perfect match because he has the physical tools to perfect that style.

yeah he has got excellent skills i would love to see him fight the like of johnson hopkins tarver.

because he move his head forward and bend down and lets his chin open. so if you get hit and you are in that position you probably get stunt easier then if you are in a normal defensive position.

anyway if he faced the elite he could be training harder and nobody first comes to the ring beating the champ or p4per these things need time abit

Yes, but if he gets floored by sub-standard fighters, the better guys out there could possibly do more damage. If he fights Tarver and Tarver hits him flush, who knows what will happen?
