I've been rocking the Pascal avatar for the past week, in anticipation of this fight. And I must say, Pascal was pretty impressive, considering the huge step up in opposition. He basiccally outclassed a guy who was world class at one point. Not easy to do.

And who's a better prospect than Pascal? Compare Berto and Pascal: Look at their steps up in competition. Berto showed impatience and foolishness, and against a worse fighter than Ikeke. Even though he slapped Cosme around (which was much more than expected), he looked anxious and un-crafty. Pascal was picking his shots all night, and had Ikeke on the defensive for a majority of the fight. If it wasn't for the obviously hurt hands late in the fight (round 11, I think), he was en route to knocking Ikeke out.

All in all, I think Pascal stands a good chance against any SMW in the world. He's knocking on the door right now.

pascal fought a guy who hasn't fought in 2 years. that's not really stepping up. ikeke forgot what boxing was until like 3 days ago.

That said, it's still a huge step up, and a huge outclassing of who used to be a feared fighter. It's not as if Ikeke is old or was coming out of retirement.

he was feared? i guess in the same sense i fear a giraffe stepping on me. he couldn't punch for anything and if he could he would have had pascal in trouble. pascal just stands there gets hit with the jab a bunch then explodes and steals the round and he doesn't seem to have very good power either. i dont know what im saying is allan green should fight him and he will go byebye.

Yeah, you really don't know what you're saying.

At 160, Ikeke was not somebody that any fighter would be eager to jump in with.

Green wouldn't kill him, but I agree that he would be too much for Jean- at this stage.

When Tessitore said that Pascal wants to fight Green NEXT(!?!?), I was just thinking about how his one defect is that he gets tagged with the jab too much. And Green's jab is much better than Ikeke's.

But I think eventually with some more polish, Pascal will get there and beat Green.

He was ranked by all associations before he went inactive- and he was ranked even higher before the Abraham fight.
