In one of the most awaited rematches of 2007, Israel "El Magnifico" Vasquez will be trying to recapture his WBC super bantamweight championship title he lost at the hands of possibly the pound-for-pound hardest puncher in boxing, Rafael Marquez this Saturday at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo,Texas.
After healing from the nose injury that cut short his previous title defense against Marquez, the former 122-pound champion Vasquez is coming into the fight with new optimism and a game plan he believes will take him to victory.
After changing trainers and now with Rudy Perez who has guided Marco Antonio "Baby Face Assassin" Barrera and most recently worked the corner of the bright up-and-coming Jorge Linares, Team Vazquez believes they have the right strategy and a winning formula.
