Floyd's body has matured and he's grown into a good sized Welterweight so I dont see why he would go to 140 where nobody is.

Its a catch 22. No matter what you guys say, Floyd is not a real WW. E****ally not in this era with these huge WW's. How can you say his body has matured when he hasnt had one fight his whole life when he's came in over 148 pounds while all of these other guys are around 160? Even the 148 looks fake.

I think you guys are missing the original poster's point. I think he's trying to say that if you want to see the best Floyd then it will be at 140. If your not going to let him fight there then stop bitchin about the way he fights. Honestly were not seeing the real Floyd. He hasnt had the blessing of guys like Tsyzu, Hopkins, Pryor, and all these other guys. In all reality Floyd shouldve left 130, been at 135 every since, and just now be moving to 140. If that was the case then everyone would be saying he's one of the most special talents in the history. He would be dominating guys, throwing a bunch of punches, and getting KO's.

The catch part is that all the best fighters are at WW. The problem is that no one ever aknowledges the weight advantage. If Floyd beats these guys then he should be given double the credit but no on ever does that. You will hardly ever ever ever ever see guys in history who are Floyd's size fighting guys like Margarito, Williams, Cintron, Clottey, & Cotto. It just doesnt happened. On top of that all of those guys are good. If Floyd does fight these guys then he should be given massive credit for it. Instead they say its a fight he should definatly take and if he doesnt, he's the punk. If he wins then thats what he's supposed to do. Its just not fair to look at it like that. The cat is small. Not only does he have to win against these huge guys who are good but people rip him if he doesnt put on an explosive performance. Well tell those guys to move up to MW and fight Pavlik and lets see how good they look, lets see how much they will run, and lets see if they can even last 5 rounds let alone win

It is true that Floyd is not a huge welterweight. Just look at the fact that he has only KO'd one person since he got to 147. He also stopped fighting in the pocket and sitting down on his punches. I liked Floyd's fights best when he was at 135 or 140. I doubt he could still make 135 (you never know with Floyd considering how quickly he moved up) but that would also be a good weight class for him. Obviously 135 is not as good as 147, but at least he could fight Casamayor, Morales, Diaz, Diaz and Diaz. Still, this is not really realistic, Floyd will either fight at 147 or retire, no way around it.
