Chambers Ready For IBF Tourney, Brock Bout

Los Angeles, CA – While final details such as date, venue and telecast rights are still being ironed out, promoter Dan Goossen announced that one of the top young heavyweights from the Goossen Tutor Promotions boxing stable – “Fast” Eddie Chambers – has been designated by the IBF as one of four participants in an Elimination Tournament in which the winner will receive a mandatory title shot against IBF Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko. Yes, Brock put up a better fight against Wlad than Byrd, Austin and Brewster did. It was a fairly even fight during the first five rounds.

This tourny is very interesting. I'm expecting Alexander to win the title shot, but Chambers has a good shot at it. Should he beat Brock, the undersized Chambers will probably have to march through two giants in Alexander and Wlad. to win the title, that'd be pretty amazing if he could pull it off.

I don't know if Chambers is ready for Wlad now, but i can surely see him as a future champ with more than 1 title, he has real potential.

I hope Chambers is not taking Brock lightly, Brock is a pretty decent boxer. I wouldn't be surprised if Brock wins this tourney. It is still my opinion that Povetkin doesn't have enough experience to beat Byrd and Brock. Chambers is not bad but Brock is above any competition that he had faced so far.

So if Brock comes up the winner, does Klitschko say "Forget it" or take him on again?

I'd rather have four unknowns. Give upcoming fighters a chance for recognition.
