Your scenerio is possible, if Ricky is not 100 percent up for this and fights the fight of his life. The point I make is Ricky does have a chance and he is no Gatti by any stretch of the imagination. There is a difference between lineal champion and contender...side question..........name 3 or 4 LWW who were better. I can only think of one in my lifetime and thats Pryor....

I have given you a skill-based response. Now, if you are going by resumes, I will ask you what Pryor's resume was. And you will struggle to give me his "greats beaten" other than a fading Arguello.
Would you pick Tszyu over Duran at anywhere from 135 to 147? How about Tszyu/Meldrick?Comment

It's Official: Mayweather and Hatton Sign Contracts To Fight
The contracts are signed and the fight is officially on. WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (38-0, 24 KOs) and challenger Ricky Hatton (43-0, 31 KOs) have both signed the fight contracts for a Dec. 8 showdown, televised by HBO Pay-Per-View. [details]Comment

Regardless of who you think will win, this is great for all of us since we all are boxing fans. I'm sick and tired of MMA this and MMA that. 2007 is slowly proving to be the year boxing turned it around.
On a unrelated note, PPV buys prediction for this fight? I got it at around 600,000 right now (which could be too high or too low). I really don't have anything to base it on.Comment

1) you notice that I put a (LW) next to Duran's name.
I am not a fan of the super this and junior thats. I like it done old-school, the way Shane did it.
But since you can't compare apples-to-apples, I think it is fair to compare a guy who went from 135 to 147 to a guy who fought at 140.
Is that unreasonable?Comment
