    Cotto, Calderon, Camacho...

There is talk of WBO 140lb champion Miguel Cotto making his first title defense against former champion Randall Bailey.
    ----------
Looks like WBO mimimum champ Ivan Cauldron will defend against Carlos Fajardo on the November 27 Morales-Barrera card in Las Vegas.
    ----------
A November 28 card is in the works featuring both Hector Camacho Senior and Junior in separate bouts.

Coming Soon: Miguel Cotto Vs. Randall Bailey?
    By Ricardo Lois

October 18, 2004 - WBO Junior Welterweight Champion Miguel Cotto will no longer be facing DeMarcus "Chop-Chop" Corley on December 11th. Instead, the Puerto Rican fighter will likely face Randall Bailey on the undercard of Marco Antonio Barrera-Erik Morales on November 27th, or on a Pay Per View event on December 18th from Puerto Rico. Apparently Corley priced himself out of the fight with Cotto, asking for an unreasonable purse. (5: 50 PM)

Prior to this, there was a report that it's gonna be Ivan Calderon-Rodel Mayol underneath Morales-Barrera 3. In my opinion, this would've been a very good match-up. Rodel Mayol is currently ranked no. 4 by boxrec, never mind those alphabet soup's lists (they almost always don't reflect a fighter's true worth!). I believe that he's a worthy challenge, will put up stiff resistance for the WBO champ, very talented kid. He's still an unknown in the West, but not in this parts. Watch out for this kid, just remember where you heard it first.

              Cotto vs Bailey!?!?

Didnt Bailey lose to chop chop and some novice kid recently??

Hope its just a warm up for a decent fight, Cotto is still to beat a named fighter.
