OKay. You can be immature about it.

Robin Reid (then) has to be considered a higher standard of opponent than Froch or Clinton Woods.not saying Hopkins has'nt ducked anyone of course he has most champs do, but he has a much better rec than joe,joe fought, Starrie, Woodhall, Reid, why not a much improved Woods or Froch he thinks hopkins is to old and ready for a taking, much the same way Hamed tried to get Azuma Nelson out to fight
Let's be real here... no matter who Joe fights, they'll always be "bums" to 90% of US fans. I remember what a destroyer and legend Lacy was on here before last March happened. I'm not saying it's a HOF career, but people who claim Joe has fought "nobodies" need to educate themselves.

Dela Hoya at 160 did he ever belong there especially after losing to Felix Sturn in his build up fight prior to Hopkins. Don't you recall B-hop sitting there in the lockeroom squirming in his seat as he watched Sturn pound on Oscar? Winky at light heavy are you for real? Hall of famer, but belongs at 154, 160 tops. Tito's straight ahead style would never work against a legitimate middleweight like Hopkins, so stop that nonsense. Tarver and Johnson made their careers against an old washed up Roy,and neither could hold Kessler's jock. It just proves my point in America we pay attention to names whether there good matchups or not. We all gave credit to B- Hop when he fought Taylor after his long string of defenses, but the fact is he lost, twice. Now calzaghe who has dominated the super middle division for so long is fighting the top dog in Kessler, eerily similar to what B- Hop did with Taylor. If he wins why shouldn't Joe have a say in where the fight should be. I personally believe Kessler will win this fight anyway, and we will be discussing if Kessler should have to come over and fight Hopkins. Then I'll listen since he is a new champion, but trying to say Calzaghe needs to come here to secure his legacy is bull****. The man has been recognized as the supermiddle champ forever, a bit different from Hatton. For once I would love to see an American fighter of the caliber of Hopkins cross over the Atlantic and prove his worth by beating a respected champ like Calzaghe. If B- Hop were to do this he would be the most respected man in boxing period. Not to mention a slightly richer one. Please stop with the names, next thing I'll see is William Joppy's name thrown on the list of who B- Hop has beaten.Comment

At the end of the day. It's pretty simple. If Hopkins retires having never fought Hopkins, he'll have a fufilled legacy, regardless. He has much more to bank on. Calzaghe on the other hand, stil has things he needs to get done. For example... If he loses to Kessler, I bet a lot of his legacy will be diminished. He'll of had a good career, but not a great one. The thoughts of him ducking people and being sheltered wil seem to be true. Whether they are or not (He might have just wasted his prime.. depends on what happens in the fight)
The point to bringing this up is... Hopkins doesn't NEED Calzaghe, which is all I was saying. If ANYTHING. It would benefit Joe more to beat Hopkins, then it'd benefit Hopkins by beating Calzaghe.Comment
