Not really. The Americans signed the lend lease act in March 1941, joined in the war effort in the Pacific theatre in December 1941, and American forces began arriving in Europe in January 1942. The European war wasn't over until April 1945, and was far from won by the beginning of 1942. I don't like it when Americans think they saved the day single-handedly against the Nazzies, but I also don't like it when Brits don't realise exactly how far the Americans went towards making it possible to win the war.

At the same time, glorifying the American war effort often leads to glossing over the sacrifices made by the Soviets and that is wrong.
