Gatti's last fights...

Just watching Baldomir-Gatti, Gatti dosn't look half as shot as he does against Gomez. Does anyone else think that Baldomir really put the finishing touches on ruining Gatti? I know its a sad little topic, but it really looks like it. Gomez is no Baldomir. I like Gomez but no way would he beat Judah or Clottey. Gatti actually looks good (despite being mostly dominated) in this fight. Have a look and consider for yourself:

This is the first time I've seen this since it aired live, and I have Gatti up 3-1 after 4, and he could have easily won the 3rd if it werent for that last barrage by Baldomir. The first time I saw it I thought it was pretty much a shut out.

Theres no doubt Gatti looked a bit sharper, and faster in this fight than he did against Gomez. I do think Baldomir's lack of speed has something to do with it though.

i think baldomir made gatti look good here... he wasnt very good to begin with... so i dont know where this shot gatti assumptions come from, hes just in a weight class where he cant turn the fights around with one punch.....

and thats not to say baldo isnt good cus he proved against forrest that he is good, im just saying baldomir ddindt even need to bother blocking or evading gattis punches, he could just walk through him...and thats why gatti looked good...

Boxing fans need to wake up. Gatti hasn't been a world level fighter since 130!!!! He has been coddled and protected by HBO. They put him up against guys with similiar skill levels or they'll put him in with former 126 or 130 lbers. That is why he looks good 'boxing' at times, because the opponents were smaller then him and couldn't put a dent in him. He has been shot since DLH...even before so.

yea i was thinking that after gatti lost to gomez, gatti did not look bad at all vs baldomir, its just like everyone says though, gatti didn't belong at 147, baldomir was eating all of his punches, but im pretty sure the gatti that fought baldomir would of beaten gomez.

i too dont think gatti was all that good , just overprotected after the trilogy with ward
