the more i watch the fight the more i see winky miss. there were a **** ton of punches by winky that miss their target or were over on the back of hopkins head. not saying that he was hitting in the back of the head but the shots weren't hitting the point scoring part of the head.

winky was far from looking or being effective in any way really. i just think that hopkins style with movement and rough housing had winky thrown off his game plan and then winky got worn out by hopkins style and by the extra weight he isn't used to fighting with.

but whatever, just cause hopkins don't fight pretty doesn't mean he didn't win, winky sure as hell didn't take it from hopkins.

once again...bhop is the damn king at maken people barely miss thats the main key u want em to jus sc**** ya with there punches so u know where 2counterpuch....Hop won the fight jus like he won the Taylor fights...i mean its really gotta suk bein so good at dodgen punches it looks like your getten hit all the time..but the real fans know whats up

Hopkins landed a little cleaner Winky was throwing at any and everything .
Very close fight, I could see ppl picking Winky based on aggression but I think Hopkins won the boxing match and the fight.

well Winky himself admited deaft so WTF everybody is complaining about.

Winky complained about Hopkins dirty tactis but it was his lose wheather it was 120-0 or only 1 point idfference a lose is a lose.

Winky has a bad tendency of giving away championship rounds in tight fights. I scored it a draw but he should've won that fight.

Larry just dislikes everyone in boxing today except mayb De La Hoya..i'm really getten sick of his ass and everyone else on a whole is to..if HBO isnt carefull they gon ruin boxing for themselves..they getten pretty bad bout hypen certain HBO fighters that arent that gr8 not to mention names tho(Jermaine Taylor). Than to make things worse a slow boring announcer who obviously has lost a lot of his brain..i'm truly surprised more boxers dont jus refuse an interview from him i know i would. It jus seems that the HBO announcers are alwayz biased to a certain fighter whereas the other show actually seem 2 call it as no favorite

I had Hopkins winning 7-5, but I can't argue with anyone having Wright winning, this fight was extremely close and it could've gone either way.

All I can say is if Hopkins was in Wright shoes, he would've bitched that he won the fight.

winky did miss but i did have winning the fight by two points, i gave winky 5 of the first 6 rounds. Bhop only threw arm punches and then held and then ran. reminded me of sugar ray leonard vs duran three. Winky landed the much cleaner shots, was the aggressor and was the one who came to fight, hop needed to lost and winky needed to win, that way we could get rid of them and they could retire. but no, nwo they will both fight again.

I don't think it was a bad decision.....Hopkins won the fight in the last 4 rounds as he was the fresher man but the scores were silly....It was much closer.....Winky was clearly winning the fight going into the 9th round IMO......and simply did'nt do enough late to earn the victory.
