    I was watching Gatti-Baldomir again

Gatti looks skilled and sharp, not just the slugger... They took alot out of him

Gatti is/was the quintessential "take one to give one" fighter..

When he could no longer "take" them, there wasn't going to be any "giving" going on..

He was fooling himself at the end, because he had developed a strong distaste for getting punched in the head and body.

The only version of him that ever thrived in the game was the one that could cheat by standing in the direct line of fire to land his damaging shots against any reasonable caliber of competition..

In an era where being a White fighter can sometimes hurt more than help - Arturo Gatti made it work.. And how.
