  • Did Shotime concete to HBO in the boxing department?

They've had pretty much jack lately minus the surprise Donaire-Darchinyan fight. They got Vasquez-Marquez coming up but that's been it for awhile. That's the only good fight I've waited on them since it was announced. I think HBO just blew them away pretty much this year with so many fights. That's probably why they heading into the Elite XC bs. Oh well.

I wish one of these channels would buy all the boxing fights, because I don't want to own both channels.

Show had Briggs-Ibragimov, and will be hosting the Mayorga-Vargas fight. Neither are SUPERSTAR quality, but I don't think they are conceding. I just have problems with Showtime though. I think the announcers are less exciting, and I hate Jimmy Lennon Jr. Overall, the broadcast is just done in a more dull way, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

HBO has more $$$ to play with, thus they get the better fights. Plus the HBO presenting team [minus Kellerman] are the best in sports broadcasting IMO.

Gotta quick question kind of off topic. Does anyone know if there will be another fight before Baldomir vs. Forrest? Or are they just playing the Winky vs. Nard replay?

Pretty sure it is just the replay.

I dun have a problem with Jimmy Lennon Jr. He's gets the job done fine. The announcers are abit duller but not terrible or annoying all that much.

Kellerman is cool because he's very ethusiatic about the sport which is good. Especially that he's young, he could be the future Jim Lampley. It's always nice to see a young passionette person who isnt' just talking out of his ass to dumb viewers or audience. Kellerman talks about the sport as if he's talking to the hardcore boxing fans all the time. I like that.
