There was just a tinge of irony in my comment about the UFC. If a fight which nobody thought was going to be super exciting managed 300,000 PPV buys then it's a pretty good indication that Boxing ain't dead.

Boxing sells more PPVs annually than MMA. That's my conclusion.

Not bad, but 8,000 in attendance is weak. Calzaghe makes a point when he talks about attendance. He's going to have more than six times that.

i attribute the low numbers in attendance to how ****ty they still handle ticket prices... ridiculous.

also, more casual fans know about hopkins and winky wright than most hardcore fans would believe... both are very 'recognizable' names to remember
