Cotto is regarded as the best body puncer NOW, noone is discrediting Mosley. But the younger hungrier fighter wins. But what are people going to say if he beats Mosley(notice I said if) they'll say Mosley was old anyway.

in all fairnes it is not prime Mosley, Mosley that beat De la HOya the first time beats anyone in the welterweight division of today, except the terrible style matchup that would be paul williams...

then we have Cotto, who has not fought any really big opponents... he is a decent body puncher...only his 2nd fight at welterweight ... Cotto hits hard against smaller opponents...zab was able to last what 9 or 10 rounds with him??? and he will knock mosley out ???? ****ity **** no ... Cotto cannot take a clean punch to the chin ...! ! ! ...when Mosley sees someone is hurt , he goes in for the kill.

Mosley will put Cotto down at least twice garunteed within the early rounds... things might tighten up a bit down the stretch ... but Mosley will still win a UD or late TKO ...leaning more towards a UD ...

I really dont have much of an opinion on this fight yet, but I will say this.

Mosley is the biggest guy Cotto has ever fought, and the fastest. Judah might throw single shots as fast as Mosley, but nobody puts punches together as fast as Mosley does at Welterweight.

Shane is two inches taller, Has 7 inches reach advanatage over Cotto, and has fought at 154 and just moved back to 147.

You claiming Cotto is "10x" the body puncher is simply ignorance. You must not have been around and followed Mosley's career.

Being taller and longer is not the same as being BIGGER. Cotto at WW still weighs more at fight night than Shane did at 154.

And as far as the body punching, what Mosley did at 130 does not matter at all now, this is not the same fighter. When was the last time he hurt anybody to the body? In EVERY Cotto fight he's hurt people to the body. There simply is just no way Shane's body punching is near Cotto's level right now.

its like you guys dont even watch boxing....theyre both fast but floyd is more of a one punch explosive fighter, but not exceptionally fast of hands....his foot speed is what is formidable...nor does he put fast combinations togheter...

Exactly..I actually thought I was the only one who knew that.
People tend to confuse hand speed with agility..Floyd's an Agile boxer, but in no way fast with his hands like Mosley or how Leonard and Meldrick Taylor were.

Regardless if Cotto can take Mosley or not.. It will be an interesting bout to watch. Both guys won't back away from one another.
Winner in this bout takes on the winner of Hatton-Mayweather.
I kinda wouldv'e preferred Hatton-Cotto, two body punchers going at it...but it prob won't happen. Just don't see Hatton getting by Floyd's style.
