Matthew Cleary and Francisco Rodriguez at Ringside

Top light heavyweight contender and former world champion Glen "Road Warrior" Johnson (46-11-2, 31 KOs) scored a fifth round knockout against "Fabulous" Fred Moore (30-7, 27 KOs) on Friday night at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel in Miami, Florida. After three competitive rounds Johnson picked up the pace in round four and put Moore down and out in the fifth round with a left-right combination at the 2:45 mark. Just two months ago, Johnson had defeated Montell Griffin in an IBF eliminator.

Johnson could have easily taken off six months after his defeat of Griffin but choose to stay busy. I have lots of respect and admiration for Johnson. I really don't think Jones wants to step back in the ring with him. I look forward to seeing Johnson vs Dawson. I hope this happens soon while Johnson still has enough left in the tank.
