Not now but eventually he will. He is an interesting prospecting. And has the tools to be a champ. He really has pop and his jab will take him to the next level. After he got knocked down the nect round he threw nothing but jabs and dominated that round.

You should have made this poll public.

And I voted no, because there is too much talent in that division........and none of it will be turned over to a guy with that fight style.

Guys with metal like Cotto, Oscar and Tony
Lightning fast fighters like Shane, Judah and Floyd
And a freakishly huge man who just so happens to weigh 147lbs in Williams.

Depends on whether he matures more mentally, and as a fighter. He's got great potential, but he's a pretty immature kid right now. He's a real wildcard, though. Probably one of the few kids I can think of that I'd actually lay out some cash on if he were to step into the ring against Mayweather. I don't think he'd win, but he'd have an excellant puncher's chance, and the odds would probably 20/1 or so....any reasonable bet could turn into a small fortune (thinking maybe 5k, at 20/1 odds...makes my mouth water).

not at welter. he will choose the easy way out like hatton/calzaghe and hide in a division with bums. 154 here we come.

I voted yes. If they bring him along for another year or two. You have no idea what the division will look like from now. By a year or two from now Mosley could be retired, Mayweather could only be looking to fight big names, same with Oscar, Williams could have moved up. So many scenarios so who knows.

why do you label him as someone that takes the easy way out when hes so young right now

i question his skill but i dont think its fair to him to say hes taking the easy road when hes so young

i dont know if he will take the easy way out but if he loses in a title shot or something like that moving up seems plausible especially since he started his career at the higher weights.
