I think it should be at a catch weight from the pure standpoint that I don't think Ricky can compete at welterweight. I'd like to see a good fight. It means more if Floyd wins in a tough, competitive battle than through a cake walk. I think Hatton can bring more heat if he fights at a lower weight...but...even then I'm not very confident on his chances.

If it's true that Ricky can't compete at welterweight, he probably needs a loss on his record so he can fall out off the top fighters in the sport list (P4P). The elite fighters in the sport should be able to fight a plethora of good fighters, not just the ones in a weak divison.

I guess we'll see, the article I posted a few pages back from USAToday said it is going to be fought at 147, so you may be right. It is true that it is quite premature to judge this guy after one fight at 147, so time will tell.

It is, one fight at the weight and he won a world title, its a joke, people judge far to quickly. Hattom trained for the fight wrongly, maybe uk fans would only know this when they watched the documentary about it b4 the castillo fight, but he still won. Yes hes best weight is at 140 but vs people like Mayweather and Cotto it doesnt matter because they moved up, hell mayweather had tune up fights at 147, Hatton went straight for a world title, may of not looked great but won just.

Once it's confirmed I'll reserve my flight and hotel for Vegas. Dec 8 is an even better time for me to go to Vegas than Nov 10, it fits in perfectly with the rest of my life. I hope to meet some of you boxingscene people there!
