WHY do cameramen INSIST on zooming in after a knockdown!?!?!?!

    I cant STAND THAT!!!!!!!

After a brutal knockdown that could very well end the fight, the cameraman always zooms ALL the way in on the guys face.

We as fans watching on TV, then have NO IDEA whether the ref as stopped the fight or not. Sure teh announcer says it, but its delayed and if its your favorite fighter getting knocked out, or an unbelievable upset, you just gotta see it for yourself! you know?

Why do they do that anyway? who cares what their faces are like... I wanna know if he can get up, and i also might wanna see the other fighters celebration!

I uh... i answered the question IN my post...

They shouldn't do it CAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THEY STOPPED THE FIGHT... which is a preeeeeeeeeeetty big deal to me.

I mean, its no the camermans fault i guess, cause he's being told to do that, but why are they showing that camera live!?!?!?!?!

Show it in the replays and what not, who cares, but when its going on live i would really like to know WHETHER THE FIGHT IS OVER OR NOT!!!! How can nobody agree with that

Maybe to see if the guy that got BRUTALLY knocked down will get up? I don't know. I've seen too many fight's where the crowd was cheering that same knockdown, only to get their hopes crushed by ONE punch. It happens. It's the way it is. Whats more dramatic then seeing your folks on the canvas, spitting up blood and bile, has nothing left, and still finds a way to win? Of course the camera's are going to focus on the knocked downed fighter.

I hate it too. They can zoom in for the replays if they want, but stop doing it during the fight. You have to wait and hear the announcers scream, "IT'S OVER" and we're like "It is?"

uhh that is an incredibly silly question. of course there gonna zoom in on it thats what everyone is watching the fight for, to see if their is a KO, and when there is a knockdown, they wanna show how bad the guy was hurt, not the other fighter celebrating his knock down. and if the ref stops the fight, is it much difference to u if u find out right that second or 4 seconds later? that is the main part of the fight, the KO, so naturally the cameraman is gonna zoom in on it to get everyone excited and see what the fighter looks like after getting rocked.

They also zoom in on the home run going over the fence, the touchdown in the end zone, the slam dunk. This is what people pay to see. Too bad, but it's human nature....

thats rediculous cause you can have the camera both on the fighter AND the ref. but a lot of the times they zoom in SOOO far that all you can see is the guys head and shoulders.

And like Diegofuego said, you have to sit that wait with those butterflys in ur chest until the announcer says something. I wanna see it for myself! Show the really zoomed up stuff later when it doesnt matter.

People wanna see the knockou AND know whether the fights over, and they can easily fit both on camera but they don't
