i've seen Tyson commentate a few times...he's very knowledgable about the sport and knows his **** as far as past fights and people go...someone said it tho..UNRELIABLE..if wuznt for that..and his voice of course..he would do well...**** it let Stuart Scott do it..or **** Vital...its a knockout Baby

I would LOVE to have Mike Tyson as an announcer!! haha, I could only imagine some of the **** he would say, it would be pure comedy!!

But unfortunately the above statement is correct - he is not reliable at all and probably is drugged up.

BTW, something about Lennox Lewis just pisses me off when speaks. Some of the **** he says doesn't make any sense

Tyson was pretty lousy the one time I've heard him commentate, during the Brown/Pettway, Hopkins/Mercado 2 card.

Besides, Tyson has burned bridges @ HBO anyway.

Mike Tyson would be MUCH better than Max Kellerman, who has to be the worst boxing commentator of all time.

Someone mentioned Tarver, he would be another good choice. Chris Byrd is okay too - good voice, well spoken, and knows his stuff.

The best of all though would be Joe Mesi - I've heard him on ESPN and he's excellent.

i completely agree, but i think its unlikely. the last tyson interview i saw mike didnt smile and his speech was very slurred. along with that, mike's constant run-ins with the law wont be very good for his commentating career.

Sorry but NO ONE is better than Roy Jones, he needs to come back asap. Lennox and Stewart got nothing on them and are sometimes downright annoying to listen to. Especially Lennox.
