    Am I Dumb For This?

Im thinking about going for the big money. Im thinking really hard about laying 5 bills on Baldy to win by Decision. 1st off I think this belt will definatly be won by Decision. Now my head & eyes are telling me to go with Forrest but something is just telling me that Baldy is going to win this. I also havent watched either guy in awhile so I know my mind is slipping me. I know that I think Baldy is a much better fighter then most guys do and I think he wouldve gave everyone hell at 147 not named Floyd, and maybe Williams. Forrest also didnt impress me at all against Ike but Ike is a monster at times. However, I havent watched those fights in awhile and I just keep picturing the prime Forrest and a slow Baldy.

I just think the odds will be so great in this fight that I have to lay some money on it and I know that there's a good chance I will feel like a complete dumbass after the fight. Im either going to wise up and go with Forrest who will then lose and I will want to commit suicide with the great odds I lost on Baldy. or Im going to go with Baldy and Forrest will completely school him and Im going to go crazy asking myself what was I thinking and I knew what would happened all along. I gamble alot and I pretty much always go in streaks. Like I lose everything for weeks and then I win everything for weeks and right now Ive been very hot. Hopefully I wont jinx myself before the fight hits and hopefully Baldy can pull it out but I still my change my mind. Im definatly going to lay one bet on the over for the rounds. The odds suck on it but Im pretty sure they will go over. I also may throw some down on the draw because I always do on fights like this and I won big on the Taylor/Winky fight.

I have to tell you no. Why? Because you said yourself- your head and eyes are telling you to go with Forrest. That means you are denying both your logic and observation for a gut feeling. Sure, maybe the gut feeling is right, but you're so unsure you decided to get on the forums here and ask. Five thousand is a big bet. If I were you I would wait for a fight in which you had a good, logical thought that the underdog would win and go for that.

I just don't see this as being a good fight to bet on. It's low-key so little information is leaking from either camp and Baldomir is still, for the most part, a big unknown.

My advice : put the money in a savings account and add it on to the next fight when your head and eyes both tell you the underdog will win.

It's your money, so I'm not going to tell you what to do with it, in my opinion Baldy will win by a close UD.

I don't think it is a bad bet, Baldy wasn't knocking anybody out at 147 so he certainly won't be at 154. That being said, the dude had an iron chin and was big for welter, so I think you probably won't have to worry about him getting dropped at this bigger weight. Couple that with the fact that he is fighting a guy who is not only getting old, but has been injured and inactive? I like the risk. Rumble young man, rumble.

Forrest got a gift against Ike. He has clearly showed me that hes shot. Baldi on the other hand is on some other ****. Hes like a superstar back home. The spirit of his people are in him. Bet on Baldi.

Plus alot of people agree Forrest lost to Quartey so hes under close scrutiny. He wont get another pass.

Gotcha- It's also late. I probably would have got it otherwise. I don't know. I think it's easy for other people to tell you to lay down the five hundred because they aren't putting anything down themselves. I don't want Baldomir to win and you to kick yourself for not betting...but is this a fight we have much information or knowledge to make a good predicition on? I don't think so...so I can't recommend you bet your cash. Like I said...save it for the next fight.

Being a non-ppv fight we don't have much information on the training camps for Forrest of Baldomir. Carlos fought most of his battles in relative obscurity and we know almost nothing about his opponents other than those of recent memory. Forrest has fallen off the radar the last few years, too. Having so many question marks in a fight makes me too nervous to recommend a bet. Just me.

Yeah but Ike was a killer in his prime, strong as an ox, and has very quick hands & combos. I dont know if Baldy can do that. I do think Baldy is a very good and underrated techniqal fighter and his chin is way better then Ike's so I think that will offset things. I dont know but there is something about Baldy I like and I just have a feeling that he's going to win and silince alot of critics who think that he's a garbage ass fluke
