Excited about Maywather-Hatton?

i agree, the winner will most likely fight mosley or cotto. i think mayweather pulls this one out and maybe even tries to get a ko.. I think mayweather is realizing he has more power now at the upperweights than he actually though and has teh ability to hurt opponents. i still enjoy watching hatton fight i would love to see him continue fighting and dominating at 140 but he has balls, ill give him that.

I have no idea why people would be excited about this fight. There was anticipation for the DLH fight because he actually had a chance of winning. Hatton has almost no shot against Mayweather unless you think Collazo is a better fighter than Mayweather...

I want to see Floyd in with Mosley. I've been pulling for this fight since before the De La Hoya fight. I guess it will never happen so this is probably the next best thing. It will probably be a 9-3/8-4 decision for Floyd, unless he stops Hatton on cuts. Hatton is going to get hit flush a lot, but its still possible he can rough Floyd up when he gets inside. Unlike De La Hoya, he IS a body puncher, and he hits at different angles.

Regardless of who wins, which will more then likely be Mayweather, it proves to be an exciting fight... even if Mayweather puts on a clinic.

It has a lot of positives for boxing and its a big event that will set up a mega event

Except Williams-Mayweather, I agree with your post in principle. However, I do think PBF would want to hurt Hatton for all the talk and would sit down on his punches and not run as much as people think. Don't get me wrong, he's not going to stand and trade, but I do think it would be a much more entertaining fight than the pessimists are saying.

Besides, another reason it is good for boxing is that it helps set up the possibility of Cotto-DLH because I don't think Hatton can beat PBF, and there's no way DLH fights Hatton after a loss to PBF, narrowing his list of possible opponents down to Cotto and perhaps a Tito rematch after all, assuming Tito wins in January.

I agree Hatton is going to get exposed. He should have fought DLH at least he would have made a ass load of money before being exposed. PBF 10 rounds to 2 in a boring fight.
