Incredible, the fan support for Winky Wright

Every single fight in he seems to have the support of most fans, on the internet, the arena, wherever. And for what? He's not the most accomplished boxer in the world, he really just filling the gap in a depleted North American roster of middleweights. In his prime years he was really nothing more than an accomplishments journeyman. He hasn't had a knockout in like 15 bouts, his footwork is poor, he's flatfooted, he's lacks offensive prowess.

Is it that he has so many fans for being a light skinned black guy? I think that is a large part of it. And don't call me racist or whatever you wil for saying that, It's true that alot of people, alot of black people support the lighter skinned type black guys over guys like Hopkins who have just normal complexion.
