If you saw Hagler during the ESPN Friday Night Fights, you saw most of his highlights with a little icon in the bottom right that said "ABC Sports". This guy was having his fights on national TV in front of a national audience.

He moved to Italia for acting, and because he loved the culture. He has a beautiful wife and 5 kids, and if ANYBODY in boxing history WASN'T gay, it would be Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Funny how the writer is jocking Hagler for being rabid about destruction. But then I see he trained in P-Town which is known for its more than moderately gay community. Then...theres talk of silky pajamas and what not. I dunno man...getting silky in P-Town sounds a little suspect.

Hagler was a great boxer-puncher who could brawl too. I have a lot of respect for him even though I'm not the biggest fan of him.

95% of these kids were prolly born after Hagler retired and never saw a live fight. I grew up watching him and met him for chrissakes.

I'm from the same area and if he read what I wrote he'd have a laugh. Thats how we joke around here and Marvin knows it. Like its the 1st time he got **** for training in gay-town.

Marvin trained in ProvinceTown because of it's desolation...and he got a deal with the ProvinceTown Inn.Every penny counted in those days.

My family and I visited his camp once back then...one of my proudest posessions is a photo of Marvin holding my then 6 year old daughter.

Theres plenty of places he could have trained for free!!! He was a superstar here then. How much more desolate is Marthas Vineyard? Island...
