They should have let that fight go on, if Vitali wanted to risk being blind the rest of his life. He should have been able to allow the fight to go on. That is probably the only boxing match I've ever truly wanted to see a rematch of.

I was praying Rocky wasnt stopped on cuts , and for the life of me I couldnt understand why it wasnt stopped as it was one of the worst visual eyes Ive ever seen in boxing , he was blind in that eye from the 3rd round which was allowing more right jabs in that he would normally see , maybe the doctor had a wager on Katsidis , even Winkys eye was stoppable as Ive seen many fights where it would have been stopped by some refs and doctors .

Katsidis was bad but I remember thinking Vitali's cut being HUGE. I haven't seen it in a while but

IIRC when the cut-man was putting the Q-tip on the cut his thumb was totally engulfed by the cut.

Is the thread started trying to say that the Vitali-Lewis fight was a bad stoppage?

Vitali's was way worse and it was on his cheek..........way worse and you could see his bone nearly.

Katsidis was very bad too but on the eyes.

Katsidis' cut at the upper left eye is similar plus he had another 3 ****in cuts. for a total of 4 nasty cuts.


IF katsidis is not fighting a unknown fighter. The fight would have been stopped before the 10th.
