Well your right. In the US there are about 2 million Pinoys, i believed in Cali, its almost 1 million. You outnumber us in population, isn't between 10-20 million Mexicans(descedants or Mexican Americans) in Cali.

As for the topic involved, the Mexican sparring partners of the Filipino contingent, if they don't want to spar, then so be it. Is it a hatred towards Filipinos? I don't think so cuz if it is, why then did they start to spar from the beginning.

The reason probably is because they might be the diffirence for the Filipinos in winning the fights. As Mexicans, they want their Mexican counterparts to win the Boxing Cup. If they spar with the Pinoys, they are helping the Pinoy team to beat the Mexican team. Of course, the don't want that.

Also, if the reporter of this article is Filipino, its just a bulls$$t story. Like i posted before, Filipino reporters tend to exaggerate things, make it into opera. Like a telenovela.

So please, stop this Mexican-Filipino hating on each other. Boxing is a sport. Show some sportmanship. Act like the way your boxing idols would do.

I was off today from work, so i went to Wild Card Gym in Vine(between Fountain and Santa Monica). Gorres was doing jumping ropes, Boom Boom abdominal work outs, Gabi and another Pinoy fighter were doing some training by the speed bags. Penalosa was in the ring sparring. Was he sparring a Russian boxer? No. He was sparring with a Hispanic fighter. Don't know if his Mexican though. So that Mexicans refusing to spar with Pinoys might not be true.

Like i said, when it comes to a Pinoy reporter, they tend to overexaggerate.

Also, Ikeke was there and a Eastern European boxer, a bald guy, forgot his name.
