This thread is not a debate of weather or not Holyfield could take Wlad, rather if he does take him is it the best story in boxing history??

Very curious to hear what others think.
you are prob right and he should consider announcing his retirement...dont even think about making title defense moves, lol

It would make him no worse than the #3 heavyweight of all time. Probably the greatest.

I'd hope he called it quits, the guys got nothing to prove now.

It might be close to Foreman? I think it's way beyond Foreman considering Evander is older and is not a dominant power puncher like 'ol George. That to me makes it much more signifacant. Also Foreman never had the venemous critics like Holyfield does. Everyone knew George was always in any fight because of his lights out power even in his early 40's.

it better by a mile because most people think that Evander doesnt even have a slim chance he got KOed by a Toney he could trouble and war and wars as well as the commision didnt renew his licence and he went to another place to get so he has a long road til he get to Wlad.

for people think that Evander doesnt have a chance is not important but its important is for him to think that he has a chance

if your good enough to beat a guy one handed then why waste energy or risk breaking a hand by doing more? he also has a great left hook/right hand that has knocked 44 guys out. if he needs to do more than just kill holy with the jab he will. either way it would be either a one sided long beating or a short painful one and yes it would really elevate holy's all time great status if he can beat the 2007 version of wlad thats close to unbeatable

He would be called 5 time Champion. I mean damn. No doubt he would rise on all top 10 lists, i barely see people rate Holyfield in there. And George Foreman went from no top 10 HW, to one of the most overrated of all time after his legendary succesfull comeback. So i can't even imagine how people would look at Holyfield if he somehow beat Wlad.

BTW, Wlad said(in an official interview in Moscow) that he will announce his next opponent in something like 4-5 weeks.

I'm pretty sure Wlad is fighting Rahman.

Holyfield would beat both Rock and Brewster and Austin.

Why are you pretty sure he's fighting Rahman? Im his last interview he said he would consider fighting both Holyfield and Rahman but would prefer a title unifacation bout. What about that statement leads you to be sure he's fighting Rahman? From a financial standpoint there is not a fight in the division that could pay Wlad as much as a match with Holyfield.
