I think i know the reason why hopkins gets a pass on holding

Mostly because thats what we expect from him. Not to mention, we pretty much know what hopkins is going to do, we all know he can be boring, we all know his style is aggravating for sometimes the fans and the fighters he faces. Not to mention, Hopkins does alot of old school **** along with his holding and he lands some of the cleanest powershots youll ever see, we also see him against top competition all the time and anyone who walks out the ring knows they have been in a fight.

We all know hopkins holds to death, but there also isnt exactly a huge leigon of fans that arent going to excuse what he does, because all of us here who have seen him over years already know what to expect and its up to you to sit through his fights.

Holding is inevitable, it's the dirty tactics that I dislike.

I don't know how this guy is a legend, he can be good, great, but a legend? Get the F**k out of here. Show me where his has beaten a someone his own size, who was dominating and undefeated. he became a legend to some when he beat tarver, but in alot of peoples eyes, tarver is the most over rated boxer who thinks his a star but isnt. So he beats up 2 blowned up welters and his a legend all of a sudden? everyone mentions his 20 defensives, but if guys like trinidad and delahoya stay in welter weight and dont fight eachother, you telling me they couldnt defend theirs for 20 30 defensives fighting the same type of caliber fighters hopkins was defending against? Then he beats another small fighter whos at his all time best at 154 pounds, winky, and in another website (BT) they proclaiming him the best of the generation. WTF!
