We've had some big fights this year, I think it's been a pretty good half, the only problem is I don't know if the second half will as good.

In my opinion, the next 2 big fights are, Taylor/Pavlik and Kessler/Calzaghe.

Great Question, ill have to go with Mayweather Hatton if that actually happens in Nov,

If not Barrera vs Pacquiao 2, interested to see what Barrera can do in that fight.

Im also looking forward to watching Kendal Holt fight for the first time also.

        In terms of popularity?

        Calzaghe/Kessler and Pavlik/Taylor.

Only difference being is Calzaghe/Kessler is big in Britain/Denmark, and Taylor/Pavlik is big in Youngstown.

          Taylor/Pavlik

As long as Taylor can safely make 160 since he has trouble doing it.

they're in separate fights - Pac is rematching Barrera, while JMM is fighting Barrios.

IMO, they should both be on the same card, rather than separate $45-50 PPV headliners, but that's just me.

Industry-wide, Calzaghe-Kessler is pretty much the only superfight presently scheduled for the remainder of the year. But I'm not sure mainstream America gives a flying crap about it. If we're talking about big WITHIN the industry, then look no further than next Saturday (8/4), with Marquez-Vazquez II.

I don't consider Pac-Barrera II or JMM-Barrios to be big fights. It'd make for a good Final Four if Marquez were fighting, say Guzman or even Soto, rather than Barrios. Its attempted extortion and means for Top Rank and Golden Boy to posture, waiting for the other to blink before we finally get Pac-JMM II, which IMO is the only fight that matters in determing who's the best @ 130.

Taylor-Pavlik is a significant middleweight fight, but calling it a BIG fight is kind of a stretch. It's a middleweight title defense, where the MW champ is fighting an actual MW. I know with Taylor, it classifies as shocking news, but par for the course in regards to the expectations of a divisional champion.

I say Marquez-Vazquez II, which at least provides closure. In terms of anticipation, Calzaghe-Kessler to finally give us a clear-cut super middleweight king for the first time in the division's history is pretty damn major.

Has to be Calzaghe - Kessler, following the criticism both fighters get for not having the greatest records this will be an ironic mega fight.

We have had a great year. You pick the two big fights, and either one can become a classic. If Big Sam can get Maskaev in the ring, I'd at that to the list, though I understand why so many of you disagree.

If Mayweather/Hatton fights in November then that will probably be the biggest fight in the next 6 months, I personally don't think they will ever fight eachother, I hope I'm wrong.

TS, good pick with Pac/Barrera, the only problem with this fight is I think Pac will dominate Barrera just like he did 4 years ago, if not worse!

Thats why i wanna see it, i want to see what Barrera can do this time, mabye this time he will use his boxing skills and not try to **** with Manny. My ideal fight would be JMM vs Paciquao 2, that needs to be settled once and for all.

I dont count Calzaghe vs Kessler, no one cares about Kessler or knows who he is, and he is the footwork equivalent of the terminator.
