    I guess I'm a Tito Nuthugger

I keep reading on here how Tito is ripping us off as fans by fighting Corey Spinks next, and while I would never pay to see this on PPV, it makes sense as a building fight to me.

Corey Spinks is a fast, moving fighter. Granted, he doesn't have any pop, but he's very hard to hit clean for a stand-up fighter like Tito. I see people posting that Judah was able to hit him, but Judah is another mover.

Tito, in his comeback fight, displayed something I have never seen him do before. He consistently used lateral movement throughout the fight with Mayorga. This is something new to his arsenal of skills and he really needs to develop it if he's going to stand any kind of chance in a rematch with Hopkins.

From that perspective, I see Spinks as a near perfect opponent for him. Yes, I understand that Spinks won't test his chin, but that's not the point. We already know that Tito has a decent beard. The point is to test whether or not he can catch a mover, and very few fighters at the top level move as well as Spinks. This fight could actually help bring us a new Tito, Felix the Complete Fighter, rather than Felix the Puncher.

I am willing to forgive him this one match in his comeback career. After that, I want to see him in against Sturm or Hopkins. If he fights another blown up welterweight, I will join you guys in kicking him to the curb.

I have no desire, though, to see him in a rematch with DLH. I think that would be an even more boring fight than Tito v Spinks. DLH has proven he can't handle the weight at 160 in both his fights there.

Well, acknowledging your condition is the first step to recovery.

A local newspaper said that this week Tito next opponent should be announced...and that the fight should be on april-may 05...
Hey...I just saw on ********* that Sturm is fighting on december on Germany..so that means he won't fight Nard in Jan 05?

I don't think that it will assure him a victory over Hopkins, but I think it would give him a better chance. As much as I like Tito, I'm realistic.

So you say that Tito, even when he shows that he got better feet movement, has no chance againts Hopkins..please dont be fooled..on the firts fight Tito wasn't prepared to fight Hopkins, Moving up in weight, 9/11, the escandal of having a child with another woman, etc. This time he's a legit 160 pounder and he will take Nard more seriously...**** ppl here talk about Nard like if he is invinsible..I think that even Sturm and Taylor can take Nard right now..

Lateral movement is nothing new to Tito. He used lateral movement in his younger days like against Campas. He also jabbed alot more and jabbed while moving.

Tito didn't look the same as he did in his previous fights the night he fought hopkins. I would love to see a rematch however I think a tune up with spinks might be the way to go. I would love to see how Tito would handle a boxer concidering he could have lost against DLH and he did lose the fight against Hopkins. Also everyone said that Mayo was going to knock Spinks head into the third row and Spinks was able to come through that fight with the win. Also Spinks got the nod when he fought Judah. I personally believe that this fight is a lot more dangerous for Tito then everyone realizes. Spinks may not be a power puncher but he knows what it takes to win on the cards.

I don't think Cory Spinks is the right guy to fill the bill if you're looking for Tito to get a "boxing" tune-up.

Cory is pretty slick, & moves a lot....but I also see him getting crushed once Tito gets to him.

A bigger boxer, who can hang for a while after getting caught, is what Trinidad needs.

Spinks may be slick, but he is overated slick if you know what I mean. Sure he looked tricky when he fought MAyo but MAyo is a brawler who is prety damn bush league at times....maybe all the time. Spinks would have been ko'd by Judah had the fight gone a nother 10-20 seconds and in his last outing Miguel Angel Gonzalez although thouroghly dominated by spinks had little trouble in hitting Corey. It will take Tito a few rounds to find Corey because he will be running his ass off but once Tito lands one punch, one punch to the face of corey it is over, spinks will become very easy to hit and get bombed out of there!
