Look at how Rees beat M'Baye this weekend. If it werent for people upsetting the odds, boxing would hold very little interest to most. You can overcome much in the way of talent and skill by simply getting the tactics right. Hatton is a fairly astute tactician.
    alright, point made. you win.
    good?

Dont assume that just because its what happened once, it'll happen everytime.

On the other hand PBF has shown a number of times that he is troubled by swarming fighters, especially ones with speed and good footwork.
Mik you're a little biased when it comes to Hatton so I usually take your opinion with a grain of salt. Anyway out of all of Hatton's opponents no one but Collazo had a slick style to keep a jab in Hattons face. And you notice Hatton hasn't faced any slick fighters before than or since then right? A slick fighter can exploit those weaknesses & in Mayweather you have the slickest boxer today. All you have to do is watch the fight & you can see Hatton getting jabbed & hit with straight lefts consistently; especially during the middle rounds. Hatton looked more discouraged & befuddled in that fight which I had never saw before. KT had a great jab but he lacked the footwork that Collazo has in order to offset Hatton. That's what caused Hatton's "bad night" instead of the other excuses offered.

Perhaps I am. Perhaps its just a case that I know Hatton a bit better than I know most boxers and I do like the guy.

But regardless of whether there was a good reason why Collazo was able to peg Hatton better than most other fighters have, there is NO reason to suggest that this is a trend or a pattern and that Hatton has not identified it and worked on it. Suggesting that he hasnt is a pretty crazy assumption because thats what fighters do. When a weakness has been identified and exploited, they look for ways to cover it up.

I agree with you Mik but Hatton has worked on this weakness by not fighting slick fighters. I know you don't think much of Witter but honestly, why don't you think he's made a fight with him? Witter presents a difficult style challenge that would be tough to beat. A slick fighter with a good jab is going to give Hatton MAJOR problems.

I dont really wanna get in involved in this debate in depth, i just want to know the names of these swarming fighters who have given mayweather problems.

I can think of one, Castillo in the first fight, and mayweather won the first4/5 rounds clearly in that one anyways, and mayweather told his corner he hurt his left arm in round one.

De La hoya, im not sure if coming in behind a jab is swarming.

So who the number of swarming fighters who have caused mayweather problems?

              Thats to you know who.

ID GO FOR HATTON ON POINTS. I DONT THINK MAYWEATHER HAS MET ANYONE AS STRONG AS HATTON SO FAR, I THINK HE'S UNDERESTIMATING HATTON, HATTON WILL TAKE THE FIGHT TO HIM AND SURPRISE HIM.

How many weight divisions has Floyd Fought in? Now, how many weight divisions did Hatton fight in? Floyd went up 3 divisions past his best weight maybe you need to take that in consideration when talking about KO percentage.

I'm not saying Hatton won't take the fight to him BUT there were alot of fighters who went in with a game plan against Floyd to pressure him but Floyd is the best at making fighters fight his fight.

Let's just hope this fight takes place so all the speculation can be laid to rest.
