this article did not reflect the fight at all. you were so hoping for amonsot to win the fight and are crushed at teh fact that he lost. BAD JOURNALISM. you forgot to point out that katsidis has all of the makings of a gatti-like or better warrior. why not point out one of the many huge bombs he landedf? or the fact that he is not afraid to fight, he just runs at you and hits you with as many hard punches as he can. you just talk about how good this pilipino supposedly is?
also, that was not a knockdown by amonsot. you are the only person in the world who thinks that.
ill try not to hold a grudge, but whenever somebody reads something you write, they should understand you're biased. -
how the fk can you be a journalist? you sound like a backyard pinoy journo...stick with the facts...good fight from both with the better coming out on top.WBO Asia Pacific lightweight champion Czar Amonsot put on a gallant fight against undefeated WBO interim lightweight champion Michael Katsidis before losing a unanimous twelve round decision at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Sunday. Oh my gawd, this article IS pure ****! What is going on with this guy saying that the slip by Katsidis was actually a knockdown? And this tard actually wrote that TWICE in the same article!!!
Maybe the next time someone complains about "the death of boxing" we should really be talking about the death of "good journalism." Anyone else feel the way I do?
What a truly exciting fight that was, and what a giant pile of **** this article is. Shame.Comment

A good point has been made here - and one not to be overlooked. For years Gatti has been the heart of boxing. Not the skill- not even the representative face. Just the guts. The hard-nosed warrior willing to die in the ring for his fans. Gatti has been synonymous with action-packed brawls. His trilogy with Ward is a modern-classic. That chapter has sadly, as all do, come to a close, though. His destruction at the hands of a less than stone-fisted Gomez, and subsequent retirement, finally puts an end to his saga.
We still have great boxers like Mayweather- and young blood like Berto and Williams to show us skill. What boxing lacks with the exit of Gatti is that brawling, exciting type of fighter- not even a true boxer- to get us pumped. Even those of us, like myself, who prefer boxers of solid skill to brawlers have to respect and enjoy watching a blood and guts warrior who is willing to go out on his shield. Exit Gatti and- perhaps- enter Katsidis.
Those of us who saw the undefeated Australian were impressed. Blood streaming down both sides of his face- a purple, ugly eye- and yet even when winded he found steam to flurry and go for broke in the late rounds as he had when he came out the gate in the first. He was too easy to hit and not as skilled as his opponent- but he was tough. Tough and strong...a warrior- like Gatti.
Casual fans are ****** in by men like Gatti and Katsidis- they fill a niche role in the sport that can't be overlooked. The gladiatorial warriors who bleed for the crowd's enjoyment- and know that's what they have to do to win. When you can watch them fight once and be hooked- saying, 'I want to see him again soon' you know the fighter is healthy for the sport.Comment

okey i have to see the fight first before commenting if its total b_llsh_t article...
but i just read the article and would like to mention that it reflects more on the galantry of the loosing fighter (pinoy view), i read in almost all western news that it was a great fight worthy of FOTY nomination, that being said, most focused on the winning side (kat) alone and the looser (czar) just a side note, it takes two to tango ...
both guys should be given props!!
below is an article i like, to me it showed both guys heroics ...

I think the articles wrong for saying that the second knockdown was more of a shove then from punches. You guys be the judge.

It's a small gif image because I hosted it on ******* and I think they have a gif size limit unless they changed it. If they changed it I can make a bigger size gif if u guys want. But I think it was the punches that caused the second knockdown, not shoving.Comment

Katsidis is obviously too busy flurrying, moving his arms as fast as he can, to really push Amonsot down. That seems pretty obvious to me. As Amonsot comes forward watch how Katsidis steps back to keep punching. It looks like Amonsot just can't keep getting hit and, moving forward to get away, just crumbles from an accumulation of punches. Though not badly hurt, just temporarily broken down.Comment
