I'd say he has some tools, and he's a solid combination puncher. But keep in mind he was beating on a seriously blown up and shot Oscar Larios.

He's a good damn fighter and has a future, but best ever is pushing it.

I was very impressed with him. I was skeptical, considering he was fighting in Japan, and I wasn't sure of the quality of opposition there. either way he was throwing punches from all different angles, brilliant combinations and had a lot of poise.

Linares looked great tonight. Larrios ain't no punk. But Linares looked good in the early rounds with those combos, and then when he started up with those uppercuts, and bodyshots... them ****s was BRUTAL. The man has some serious skills. HBO better keep this young dude around.

that body shots really hurts on Larios...
