Katsidis vs Guzman: And The Winner Is

This fight was suppose to happen. Guzman is going up in weight and a good techinical boxer. Has lost some punching power since moving up in weight and i believed his last KO win was in jr. featherweight. Katsidis, against Amonsot, showed tremendous heart, even with the cuts in his face. Has a good punching power and can throw volume of punches. His drawbacks is he can tire himself with the volume of punches and not as good as techcnical boxer comparing to Guzman.

I can see Katsidis knocking down Guzman, not once, maybe twice, in the later rounds. Guzman, even though a better technical boxer, will feel the pressure of Katsidis when fighting close. Katsidis by UD.

Guzman too much class just yet , maybe in 2 or 3 fights , Rocky has come a lone way very quick with a huge jump in class to what he has been fighting give him some time as he is improving every fight by a lot .

If rocky fight the way he fought amonsot then it would be guzman by a wide UD.

you serious? this would be a blow out if katsidis can even survive. no point in this fight happening lets preserve this exciting action fighter a little longer before we kill him.

              easy win for Guzman....

Czar peppered Katsidis face like he painted it with red..

guys, Katsidis looked like he got bitten by a shark...credit to him against huge adversity to come through it..............but the thing is, he won't be fit to fight for a very long time...maybe 8 months or so...so let's wait till then to start the match ups.

another note: i won't say that Katsidis is too open just from watching this fight as i thought Amonsot was a slick southpaw.

right you there and he's got pop on both hands BUT he loses focus easily just like in the second round when he thought he was winning the round and walk right through a rocky's right straight.

guzman is obviously the better pure boxer but he'd carry next to no power into the 135 division and katsidis hits like a welter. i think katsidis would get the knockout. if not guzman by comfortable ud
