How is beating Winky at 170 an accomplishment

Winky can't fight at 170.....hes 160 fighter at best. He only took the fight to get at a big name. I'm a big fan of his but at 170 he would get beat by a lot of fighters.

I like both Nard and Wink, two of my favorites. Now I think it's fair to say that Winky showed that he could hang with the bigger guys having just been in my view jobbed in a fight against Taylor where I thought he won 115-113.

The exact same Taylor that fought Hopkins and "beat" him twice. Although I had Nard winning the first fight against Taylor 115-113......I scored the second fight a draw. Regardless Wink took the fight, and bragged that he'd send a 42 year old man back into retirement. It was a big money fight, and if any credit is due it's to Hopkins for doing what he could to beat in my view the best P4P fighter.

Floyd moved up to uncharted territory at 154 to take on Oscar in a money fight........and won handedly 116-112. I compare their little conquest in a similar fashion because of them both moving up in weight.

My only quarrel with not giving Nard credit.......is the fact he's an old man who's been in a host of rough fights before he changed his style to a more defensive manner, yet can still defy logic at his age.

I also don't buy into what some people are talking about how "Anyone could beat Winky at 170" that's nonsense. He's still a threat to most guys at that weight but Nard showed he doesn't belong there because he wasn't the same dominant fighter that he was at 160.

What would people be saying if the fight was at 160 and Nard won?
