    If Hopkins beats Wright

If Benard beats Winky tonight, do u have him ahead of RJJ?I already have him ahead of Roy Jones Jr based on longetivity.I wish they would have fought again when Hopkins was even better and nor riped when he faced Roy Jones Jr.

At this point in his career, the only thing that will get Hopkins ahead of Roy in terms of accomplishments is if he were to KO Wladimir Klitschko.

      No, I don't think so.

If he manages to beat big names at super middle, Calzaghe or even Pavlik, then why not?

Because Hopkins has never beat any of the better middleweights of his time.

If Hopkins beats Winky, another top name or two. Why wouldn't he be better than Jones? He's better than him to me, personally, anyway. Longer reign, longevity, better overall skills, didn't duck anyone (if you wanna count Jones or Calzaghe, realize it was a money thing more than anything else..).. and I just like his style much better. Never been seriously killed in a fight like Jones either. Especially not back to back.. (Though I never saw Hopkins first fight/loss)

          To me, personally..

          ..Jones < Hopkins...

When everyone moved to SMW, he stayed at middleweight. He fought a bunch of guys who will never go down as being great and called out smaller guys for years.

Larry Merchant even once called him out on that.

Why didn't Hopkins, the guy who's a natural Light-Heavyweight chase the better fighters when they moved up to 168lbs and 175lbs?

He's 42 and he has a chance of fighting Calzaghe, (even Jones if it made sense and Jones can keep winning) What's the rush? This is a marathon, not a sprint.

I think a serious case could be made on Bernard's half if he defeats Wright tonight. If he does he will have the following credentials on his record....

He went 95-4 in the Amateurs
Defended his middleweight title 20 consecutive times
Has notable wins over tough opponets like John David Jackson, Glen Johnson, Howard Eastman, Antwun Echols, and William Joppy.
Was the first fighter to unify his division since Marvin Hagler did in 1987
Has standout victories over both Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Trinidad
Is the only Middleweight in history to ever become Light Heavyweight champion, beating the man who beat Jones twice.

And if he wins tonight you can add that at 42 years of age, he came out of retirement and beat the #2 p4p guy in the sport today, second only to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
