    Ali vs. Berbick,Round 8

Did you posters see this fight? I think that Round 8 was classic Ali. It was like a last brilliant performance. Were you amazed by
the great effort put by Ali in this fight, considering he was already feeling the effects of Parkinson's Syndrome?

i have this fight on video. In some ways it is very said but your right about the 8th round. Berbick had focused on the body of Ali all night and its surprising he was able to start dancing.
This fight also had other drama`s attached to it throughout the whole promotion. It was set in the barhama`s not vegas ( where Ali surely would have made a few million ). This was because Ali had failed brain scans and was even at this stage showing a speach dis order.
James Cornellous, the promoter of the event assured Ali a license for this fight and it was able to come to pass. I remember it was a terrible promotion with great fights. Thomas Hearns fought Ernie Singletary in a great fight and Greg Page fought Scott Le Duex and Ernie Shavers leveled Jeff Sims in 5 rounds.
The Ali Vs Berbick fight was much closer than the scorecards read. To my reakoning, it could be argued that Ali won rounds 1, even 2nd round, won the 5 and 8th rounds. Berbick won on all cards by at least 4 rds. and by 6 rds on one card.
Considering Ali`s inactivity, age and on set of Parkinsons, his performace truly was one of greatest in light of what we know now....
