I'm not so easy to dismiss this as fake. Yes, it is out of character for Hopkins and Wright to come to blows before a fight. Yes, you can see Mosley- who you would think would jump in on Bernard's behalf- laughing in the background. Yes, it would seem to help sell the fight for us to think there was some bad blood here.

I don't think it's fake, though. I think that Hopkins and Wright both really do feel this is an important fight for them. If Bernard losses he was just another boxer who fought on longer than he should have. If Winky losses he just got beat by an old man. That won't sit well on his resume.

I think the push was real. It was not a punch- they did not get on eachother Vargas-Mayorga style...but it did get physical. I think it's nerves and the anticipation of a fight looming- which from an athletic standpoint they both know will be a hard one to win. Technically, as far as skill goes, this is a close match-up and one that is hard to pick a winner in. In short, I think the stress got to Bernard and he pushed a smug Winky back...but that when they step in the ring it'll be just another day at the office.

Hell, Mosley always smiles at press conferences. I mean look at the DLH vs PBF conference. Try and not find him smiling. I haven't found one yet.

As for this, I'll say real because I find it lame if it was fake.

I think its REDICULOUS that people actually think these fighters meet in the locker rooms or something, and plan this stuff out. Or warn one another that they are gonna do something.

What i DO think happens with most of these scuffles, is one fighter, bernard in the case, starts the scuffle and the other fighter, wright, realizes that this is all just to sell the fight and plays along.

I dont think the actual anger or hate is real, but i do think the actual scuffle is real in the sense that its not pre-planned. But still fake in the sense that there isnt any anger or hate, and neither guy has any intention of doing any damage.

i don't know...winky was pretty kool during and after the malay. and that points teddy made about everyone being happy and who let them get that close AND why didnt winky grab or slap away hopkins hands when hop grabbed his face??? natural instincts from a quick dude like wright...

Teddy is losing his mind, Winky did respond, he was in shock that Hopkins would do that. Mosley was laughing because it was hilarious, if you were standing there wouldn't you be laughing?? They know it's going to get split up, it was definitely real, to think it was fake is too much WWE for me.
