    Hopkins - Wright: my prediction

My prediction is that all but those high on no-dose will be asleep by the third round. Yup, and when they wake up they'll find that Winky has won a UD (tho how the judges kept from falling asleep will be the talk of the town).

I think Winky wins a wide UD, actually. Bernard fights 30 seconds of every round, and Winky fights about a minute of every round. Clearly, Winky outworks Bernard in a fight where they'll look at each other more than they'll throw at each other.

Please elaborate as to what tools Nard is going to use to win this fight.

He's the older fighter who's workrate involves trying to stay away from you as much as possible to conserve energy in his geriatric body. He throws one punch at a time and 99% of those will be blocked by Winky, who has the best defense in the game. I just don't see how 'Nard is going to do enough to win more than 2 or 3 rounds, tops. Maybe Winky even shuts him out.

I think Hopkins has much more of a chance than you like to think. He's one of the best counterpunchers in the sport bar none, he always throws punches from different angles, he's bigger and stronger than Wright, he's actually fought at 170lbs before, and in his previous fight he dominated the Light Heavyweight Champion of the world. Not to mention he's clearly more experienced than Wright.

            hmmm, well.......

            his size
            his strength
            his reach
            his slightly superiour offensive skills
            his slightly superiour defensive skills
            his superiour foot work

i could be way wrong though, but based on b-hops training vids i seen, plus, bein from philly i have inside scoops from very credible sources sayin he is in phenomenal shape best he has been in a while, which means little i know becuase wink is in phenomenal shape as well and he is one of my favs as well as b-hop, but based on both their training which i seen, and interviews and stuff, i am callin a b-hop d, but if winky wins i wont be dissapointed.

              hopkins is more versatile......................

and doesn't get hit as much as winky. hopkins style is a in and out style using angles, winky's is a plodding forward style with the guard up working off the jab, making it easier for someone with good ring generalship to work off of him and to hit him. winky opens up a lot more now then he used to allowing himself to get hit, hopkins is still very elusive, more so than winky.

everyone keeps saying that with a high punch out put winky can out work hopkins, i don't see how because hopkins isnt going to be standing in front of him, winky would have to apply pressure like he was joe frazier and throw as many punches as paul williams, hoping hopkins stands in front of him in order to hit hopkins while plodding forward like he does. i don't see it happening.

i see hopkins pulling out the MD, or the SD, in this fight, using angles, working on the inside once he gets there, and controlling the pace of the fight with his ring generalship and smarts...................

Hopkins likes to take the first half of the fight off. And come on strong in the later rounds. Winky always comes out with the jab and he trhows it enough to control the firght round by round. I don't see Hopkins landing enough consistently to win the fight. And B-Hop is stronger than Winky but I don't see Bernard scoring a KO. Both of these guys are too good defensively to be hit clean enough on a consistent basis to get knocked out.

I think B-Hop is going to try to run Winky crazy..I can see him throwing tons of punches..However, Wink win come out with the W. HOWEVER, I can see a draw as well...

Winky is small for 170 but that wont matter. This guy was a pretty big 160 and he walks around at around 190 I hear when he is not in training camp. The solution is pretty easy for Winky. Walk him down, pop the jab, and just flat outwork him. That is what he is going to do against Hopkins. H

opkins has the superior power and inside game but he does not throw punches with bad intentions anymore, he only throws to score points. Winky is going to beat him up pretty good but is going to end up swelling up like popcorn. I see the fight being a draw or a close decision for Winky. If I was a ******** man, I would bet 20 bucks on a draw.
