Am I The Only One Who Thinks That.......

Mosley would wreck Cotto? I think Cotto is very good and could certainly win but when I picture these 2, I just see Shane having the much better chance. I keep hearing people saying that Cotto would kill Shane and that he's too long in the tooth right now but I dont see that at all. I definatly fear that Shane will get old overnight but if he fights like he did against Vargas & Collazo then I got him all day.

I think people forget that the only fighters who have gave Shane problems is guys who are bigger then him. Tall dudes with size. I really cant see anyone the same size as Shane beating him unless its Floyd. The guy has still only lost to a P4P guy in Winky and a guy in Forrest who was a straight up monster at that time. I would pick both of those guys & the Oscar that Mosley fought over Cotto. Cotto's chin has looked better at 147 but he still has never faced somone with consistent power like Mosley. His combination of speed, power, & heart would cause Cotto a ton of trouble and the kid has a dynamite chin. The fact is you can say this & that about Cotto but you cant deny the fact that he still does get hit alot and hit clean. He always has and he always will. Mosley has seen a ton of good guys like Cotto but Cotto has never ever ever ran against someone on a elite level who is just as big as him, just as strong as him, has just as much power, has more speed, and has as much will as him to win.

Also, Mosley's speed will mezmorize Cotto. You may say that Cotto has fought speedy guys in Paulie & Zab but speed is totally different when its coming at you. Shane wont spend the whole fight going backwards like those 2 guys. He'll fight alot with Cotto and has super power in both hands. He also lets his hands go way more then anyone Cotto has fought. Shane has been pushed around at times but all those guys have been huge. Cotto is huge too but those guys were natural 154 pounders and were about to move up. Cotto's power & strength wont freak Mosley. I could see Mosley boxing and landing alot of flurries with power then stepping away while Cotto has to reset and it could make him look very amaturish at times. I really do think that Arum could be making a serious mistake by not going at Floyd right now

I have to agree with you on that. He's lost to 2 fighters that were not only bigger than him but they knew how to use their size & their jabs to offset Mosley. As much as I like Cotto I don't think he's going to win a war against Mosley. Mosley will give Cotto different looks that he's never seen. But what impressed me about Mosley was how he beat Collazo in his last fight. He not only out fought him but he counter punched so well that Collazo was hesitant to throw certain punches because of fear of getting countered. Not to mention Shane is a very good body puncher himself. This fight has FOTY all over it but I think Mosley would beat him for those reasons.

I think Mosley is a lot more shot than most of us either realize or want to realize. Sure he looked great in his last 3 fights because he still has some skill to draw on when put against B class fighters (believe me, Collazo is B class) but when matched against an A game guy like Cotto I think we'd all really see how shot he is.

Mosley would definately steal the first 6 rounds with his speed but as the fight wore on I think Cotto's pressure would build up and eventually take it's toll on Shane in the later rounds.
