But what's in it for Joe, to take on Mundine? Nothing.
No big pay day and no respect for beating someone everyone expected you to beat.

mundine aint a champ, he is only a so called champ because kessler is a super champ, he became thaat after he unified.. goddamn ******..

mundine has a loss by ko to ottke, which people tend to judge him on.. but people forget about the fact, he went to german for a title, after aproz 10 fights..

he has to recieve a little praise, he is very good boxer..

and actually the majority of his losses can be excused, by lack of experience..
but he doing his thing, and is ranked 3 by the ring. which i find suitable, clearly a talented boxer..

just a level below kessler and calzaghe, but nothing wrong with that

He wont have to worry about fighting Mundine because he wont get past Kessler .

On the Mundine issue Joe is talking **** , he fights Bika and middleweight Manfredo and says Mundine is not worthy , he would eat Manfredo and Bika , get real Joe is talking his usual crap .

And IM not a Mundine fan and I dont consider Mundine a WC under the conditions he was handed a belt , on Ottke it was his 6th pro fight and he was flogging Ottke all the way and got caught with a temple shot , he would beat Ottke easy now , vastly improved fighter , another tit bit of trivia Mundine had no amateur career at all straight from a pro football career to pro fighter , Im no fan but give the guy his dues , right now he would beat everyone on Joes resume .

Mundine is a no body, who wishes he was Floyd Mayweather. Sadly he lacks the intel that Floyd has and the ability.

Mundine could sell out Telstra stadium with a fight against Calzaghe. Thats 80 000 tickets. And im sure the rest of the country will be watching on PPV with Britain. A fight between the two could make as much as $30 million. Money talks. This will happen weather Calzaghe likes it or not.

Calzaghe is promoting his own fights by these publicity calls to earn extra money for the bout. If its about money like it is then he will eventually fight Mundine.

Calzaghe probably wants the big name fights and going up to LHW would make sense getting the winner of Hopkins/Wright and maybe fighting Dawson ( I don't know how much money that would generate, but it would be a tough test against a young fighter). There's still some good fights at SMW with Taylor and Pavlik probably moving up as well.
