There is one huge fight that could be made right now and no one is even talking about it. The fact is Floyd only wants big money super fights and Hatton is ****ing around. Margartio has now lost and Williams is not yet the draw to make Floyd or Cotto want to fight him. The perfect fight right now is Floyd-Cotto. I know without a doubt that Floyd would take that fight. I know for a fact that Cotto himself would take that fight. The problem is that Arum wouldnt want to do it just like he never has wanted to. Arum isnt ******. He knows that Margarito is a good solid fighter but he has no chance of being the cash cow that Cotto could be. He'll throw Margarito in with Floyd all day because the loss wouldnt hurt Arum much and Margarito's size & height would give him a solid chance. He also knows that if Cotto loses then it would be a big hit for him and Cotto is short which would make Floyd have a easier time. I do think that Arum believes in Cotto. Thats why he will put him in with Mosley but I still dont think that Arum thinks Cotto can beat Floyd right now. He loved the Cotto-Margarito fight because he thinks Cotto would win and he would make money off of both fighters.
The fact is that there is no bigger fight in boxing right now then Mayweather-Cotto and it could be made. No doubt the fight would be much bigger if Cotto got another big win but its also risky. I think there also holding out because they know that Floyd will only get older and that its very possible that he wont fight again until then and that could be a year after his Oscar fight which gives Cotto even more of a chance. I do think its possible that Arum could be trying to set this fight up for the PR parade next year. It would be great though and make it a super fight if in the mean-time Floyd could beat Hatton and Cotto could beat Mosley but I just dont see Hatton fighting Floyd and I think Mosley could end up beating Cotto. I made a thread after the Donair fight talking about how Dark & Arce are idiots for messing around because guys always end up losing and then you never get the big fight. The same thing just happened to Margarito. I could easily see both Hatton & Cotto also ****ing up. Hatton loses to Oscar while Cotto loses to Mosley or even worst, he loses to Margarito. The major fights have to happened now or they usually never happened
