Obviously I am a Hopkins fan, that said it doesnt blind me to his flaws at this stage in his career; AGE, and a tendency to be too conservative with his activity level. That said I just want to remind everyone that Hopkins is the biggest and best man Wright will have ever faced. The only true middle weight Winky has faced, at least who fights like a middle weight was Jermain Taylor, a guy who has been on a down hill slide ever since his 2 encounters with Hopkins. Remember what Taylor did to Winky's face? This leaves the door open for all kinds of legitimate speculation regarding Winky's ability to make his style and assets work at this weight. Speculation like how will he take a punch from a Hopkins who will probably weigh around 175++, how will he react and will it influence his willingness to use the one tool he must use to win, the jab? How will the extra weight affect Winky's movement and hand speed? he has steadily become more flat footed with each of his last 5 fights. If Winky can only follow Hopkins around he will probably end up in the same shape Tito did by the end of the fight if not a lot sooner. There are too many ?'s regarding Wink in this fight and I think it really makes Hopkins the favorite. Thoughts?
Wright has only fought one true middle weight!
